Screw air compressor does not start at low temperature
If the screw air compressor does not start at low temperature, you can start from the following points:
- Room heating
- Keep the operating temperature of the unit above 0°C. If conditions permit, it is necessary to place the air compressor indoors as much as possible or build a tent for the air compressor, and take some warming measures to increase the indoor ambient temperature to prevent the temperature from being too low to start. It can also improve the air quality at the air inlet of the air compressor.
- Choose fully synthetic engine oil with low temperature resistance
- In winter, it is recommended to use RCHBW46 and RCHBW32 fully synthetic lubricating oils with low temperature resistance. Although the price is more expensive than semi-synthetic oils, there will be no problem of locking the machine head and failing to start the machine. In order to restore the lubricating oil to normal temperature, you can start the air compressor and run it for one hour when changing the oil.
- The correct way to use the air compressor
- Before using the SOLLANT air compressor in winter, you should observe whether the fluidity of the oil has deteriorated or solidified. If so, you need to heat the lubricating oil before using it. When the ambient temperature is too low, turn on the unit for 2-3 turns first, jog the air compressor 3-4 times, and then load after running for a period of time. Open the drain valves of pipelines, gas storage tanks, dryers, etc. when off work or when the equipment is shut down, and then close the valves after draining the condensed water inside.
It is relatively common for screw air compressors to have difficulty starting when the temperature is low in winter, but as long as protective measures are taken according to the above methods, such situations can be avoided.
