What is the reason for insufficient exhaust pressure of air compressor?

 

Some companies that require high-pressure compressed gas may encounter a situation where the exhaust pressure of the compressor is insufficient to meet production needs after purchasing a high-pressure compressor? So what is the cause of insufficient exhaust pressure of the high-pressure compressor? How to solve it?

1. Inhalation state

 

The high-pressure compressor is a volumetric high-pressure compressor with a constant suction volume. When the suction temperature increases, or the suction pipeline resistance is too large and the suction pressure decreases, the density of the gas decreases, and accordingly the detection of the high-pressure compressor exhaust volume will be reduced.

2. Equipment speed

 

Detecting the exhaust volume of the high-pressure compressor is proportional to the rotational speed, and the rotational speed often changes with the voltage and frequency of the power grid. When the voltage decreases or the frequency decreases, the rotation speed will decrease, causing the exhaust volume of the high-pressure compressor to be detected to decrease.

3. Gas leakage

 

There is no contact between the rotors and between the rotors and the housing during operation, and there is a certain gap, so gas leakage will occur. When the gas with increased pressure leaks through the gaps to the suction pipe and the suction groove, the exhaust volume will be reduced. In order to reduce the amount of leakage, sealing teeth are made on the tooth top of the driven rotor, sealing grooves are opened on the tooth root of the driving rotor, and ring-shaped or strip-shaped sealing teeth are also processed on the end face. If these sealing lines are worn, the amount of leakage will increase, so these factors should be taken into consideration during daily maintenance.

4. Cooling effect

 

The temperature of the gas will increase during the high-pressure compressor process, and the temperatures of the rotor and casing will also increase accordingly. Therefore, during the suction process, the gas will be heated and expanded by the rotor and casing, so the suction volume will be reduced accordingly. . Some rotors of screw air high-pressure compressors are cooled by oil, and the casing is cooled by water. One of the purposes is to reduce its temperature. When the cooling effect is not good, the temperature will rise, and the displacement of the high-pressure compressor will decrease.
